Unfamiliar experiences and human encounters help us grow as individuals.

This is the belief of the photographer duo Peter Anand Ullberg and Sebastian Ullberg, who are behind this thought-provoking photographic exhibition. With this exhibition, Peter and Sebastian hope to inspire visitors to reflect on how our differences can enrich us in everyday life and help us realize how similar we are in most respects.

The exhibition is the result of three years of human encounters at Hajdes, a social-therapeutic village collective on Gotland, where people with disabilities live, work, and reside. The exhibition is a unique combination of photography, poetry, and improvisational theater—Spektro Playback Theater—which expands and adds new depths and perspectives to the narrative. The questions raised by the exhibition are further reinforced by this fusion of art forms, creating an extraordinary artistic experience.

Many of us know that differences can strengthen the whole, whether within a company or a football team. We often talk about inclusion, but is it just lip service? Honestly, can most of us truly say we prefer differences over similarities in our daily lives? Do we really value diversity? If so, we should show it more often through our actions.
